BOOK BUZZ

This enthusiastic group meets in the Lakeside Ladies Lounge the 2nd Tuesday of the month to chat about the monthly book selection. Book Buzz is open to all Blackhawk Women who love to read. Join us even if you haven’t read the current book for our always stimulating discussions.
Social time starts at 10:00AM and book discussion begins at 10:15AM. Please refer
to the current newsletter for book selection.

Come and join us for an evening of fun and games. All you need is a good sense of humor and a wish to enjoy an evening with friends. We meet the 2nd Thursday of the month at various homes. Social time begins at 7:00PM and play begins at 7:30PM. Bring $5.00, a beverage of your choice,
and a glass for your beverage.

COOKING IS CARING
Support, Service and Caring Hearts
Do you know, or have you heard about, one
of our Blackhawk Women members or their
immediate family that is undergoing a major
surgery? Is recovering from chemotherapy?
Or has some critical health condition?
Send a “Get Well Meal” to show them you care and that you are thinking of them.
BW “Cooking is Caring” will deliver a delicious meal to their door step. Our fully prepared meals are suitable for
get-well dinners or a sympathy food gift.
A meal is the perfect way to show how
much we really care.

BRIDGE
Do you enjoy playing?
Join us the second Friday of every month
in the Women’s Lounge at the Lakeside Clubhouse.
Please be at the clubhouse by 9:15AM to get refreshments, drinks and chat.
Bridge play begins at 9:30AM.

CULINARY
You don't have to be a gourmet cook; you just have to like food and friends.
Dates and times of culinary events vary so please watch the monthly newsletter and Blackhawk Ladies' Tips (BLT) emails for more information about upcoming events. Our activities vary from cooking classes to sharing of appetizer or crockpot tastings/recipes or lessons from some of our very own BW members on their specialties.
MOVIE DIVAS
The Movie Divas try to go to the movies
once a month.

A BLT will be sent out letting
you know the movie, time, place of the movie and sometimes a lunch destination.

HAND AND FOOT CARD GAME
Hand & Foot is a fun card game played with a partner at tables of four. Strategy and lady luck keep you on your toes.
Newcomers are welcome!

We meet the 3rd Monday of the month at various homes. 7:00PM social and instruction time. Play begins at 7:30PM. Bring $5,
your favorite beverage and your own
drinking vessel. Check your monthly newsletter for specific dates and
locations each month.

HAND AND FOOT PARTNERS CARD GAME
You must have good knowledge of the game and you must
BYOP (Bring Your Own Partner)

We meet the last Sunday of the month at 5:30PM at various homes. To reserve your spots to play call Kathy on the 1st of the month at 9:15AM (only 1 person calls in
to reserve seats for you and your partner).
​
Please bring your own beverage, glasses, and $5 per person. You will be able to sign up to bring either an appetizer or a dessert.

KNIT AND STITCH
A crafty group of women gather to learn, share, and teach the latest techniques and styles of their art.
​
We meet the 2nd Monday of the month at 2:00PM at various homes. Please check your monthly newsletter for the date and location.

MAH JONGG
This enjoyable group of ladies meets
every Monday at 12:30PM at the
Blackhawk Country Club Falls Clubhouse
to play this tile game. They'd love to
teach you the game!

TGIF
Celebrate Fridays at a monthly gathering of fun people on the 2nd Friday of the month at 6:30PM.
​
Singles and couples are welcome!
​
Bring your beverage of choice, your glass and an appetizer to share. Hosts provide
ice and dessert.

MEXICAN TRAIN
This group meets the 4th Tuesday of the month at various homes. Social time starts
at 6:00PM and play begins at 6:30PM. Newcomers are welcome! Come and
enjoy this easy to learn game.

Bring $5.00, your favorite beverage glass, and beverage of choice. An appetizer or a dessert will be provided.

DAY AWAY

Do you like fun adventures?
Come join a fabulous group of ladies
where you can spend a day together building friendships and lasting memories!
Day Away is open to all Blackhawk Women members. Come and join the fun!
Activities are planned by members who bring their creativity and planning skills to coordinate and facilitate a Day Away Activity. Members can team up to lead
a Day Away.

We have had many fun Day Aways in the past and look forward to all the fun ones in the future!

WINE AND DINE
Enjoy wonderful, diverse foods while meeting new people at these fun evenings.
​
We meet the 3rd Saturday of each month at various homes. Singles and couples are welcome!
​
Bring $10 each, your own beverage and glass, and a food dish to share (this will be assigned to you after signing up).

Host will provide a list of appetizers, side dishes and desserts for attendees to choose from. You will receive
an email from a Co-Chair regarding your signing up to bring a food item from this list. Hosts provide their home, entrée, ice, water, set-ups and table settings..

PARTY HAWKS
Party Hawks is “day away” with partners and singles. Events will be evening or daytime and may be on Fridays or during the weekend.
Party Hawks will not be a monthly activity...probably 4 times per year and it will begin as soon as it is safe to do so.
Here are several examples of the type of events that might be planned for Party Hawks: Dinner and the Alcatraz Night Tour
Private wine tasting and dinner at a winery
Behind the scenes tours of museums/manufacturing facilities, etc.
Dinner and play Bocce at Campo di Bocce in Livermore Rent a suite with food for a sporting event or concert
Please share any event ideas you have for Party Hawks with us. Ideas for activities are endless in the Bay Area. All events will be self-funding and buses will be used when appropriate.
